Hailey Clauson by Miguel Reveriego for Vogue Russia August 2011

It’s nice seeing the more sophisticated side to Hailey Clauson.  And while a good portion of these looks are rather seductive, this shoot doesn’t feel inappropriate in any manner.  She may be young, but the pierces certainly don’t wear her.  Moreover, seduction is an old hat for Miguel Reveriego; he is able to frame sensual shots without making it feel contrived.  By choosing the lighting and setting that he has, the editorial feels light and airy in spite of the structured styling.  The overall feel to this important.  I love how the pieces chosen for her can feel playful, sensual, and sophisticated all at once.  Hailey gives the viewer hints and suggestion rather than outright provocation.  I prefer that so much more than contrived “sexiness.” This hits just the right note, conveying an elegant affair all the way around.
