Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2011

[Can anyone identify the 2nd to last model? I think it’s Valerija but I would like to confirm that.]

I don’t normally post pre-fall or resort due to the lack of content.  I tend to like a couple pieces but never a good portion of it.  That’s changing since I fell in love with Celine Resort 2010.  Phoebe Philo, you always make me change my ways.  Anyways, Zac Posen presents a simple yet full of personality pre-fall.   It’s largely thanks to his own wonderful personality and his model choice.  Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think he lensed this one himself.  Good choice on his part.  He can fully capture the personality of his own clothing along with personality of the model.  And what a great model list it is: Hilary Rhoda, Ruby Aldridge, Crystal Renn, Valerija Kelava (I think that’s her), and Anna Van Rubenstein (daughter of the ever fabulous Pat Cleveland).  Each is full of flair and personality that translates easily into print.  I had become interested in this for that very reason.  Zac presents this in a series of close-ups (definitely caught my eye) which is highly unusual for a transition collection.  Those tend to have full-range shots to fully depict the clothes.  I feel that Zac has captured the essences of his clothes by valuing personality instead.  But then, again I do have a thing for the unexpected coupled with well-crafted clothes.  Zac, Phoebe Philo, and the Olsens all present their collections in a manner that is clean, creative, and eye-catching.

Also, aren’t Anna’s hands stunning?  I love how her pose seems to classic, yet she hand peeks out behind her, beautifully arched.  Crazy good.

  1. One of them is Leigh Lezark, but she’s not in pic two nor the last one, but since you didnt mention her, she might be the one you mean.
