Thank you NY Magazine for posting good shots and quickly. I honestly don’t know how I dealt with WWD photos; the lighting and angles are horrible. NY Magazine is just a tad faster than style.com and with larger photos! Ok enough about that. I’m so glad that Doo.Ri’s back to her old self. Her entire 2010 offering (both Spring and Fall) was simply too quiet. After a spectacular 2009 season, I had no idea what happened. Maybe the pressure’s been too much after winning the 2006 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. In any case, I like this very neutral offering. Because while it is neutral, it is hardly boring. It brings her back to the wonderful draping that she does. I love the texture to the clothes. Her crepe jackets and dresses are beautifully crafted. The bra tops are like mini works of couture. The collection is relatively effortless with the floaty wide-leg trousers and tailored shorts. Everything hangs beautifully with a nice easy feel. Well done Doo Ri.
