Tayane Leao by Dima Hohlov

Today has been an amazing day for discovering editorials.  It’s hard to believe that this is a portrait series.  This is something I would most definitely want in my book if I was a model.  Because this is stunning (that seems to be the word of the day).  Absolutely stunning.  It’s an excellent concept and a powerful one.  Here’s what Fashion Gone Rogue had to say about it that I think captures it quite well: “Photographer Dima Hohlov captures a world of post-apocalyptic uncertainty with his most recent work starring Ford’s Tayane Leao. Aided by stylist Monique Vatine, Hohlov shows that just because you live in a world without civilization, it does not mean that it has to be devoid of fashion and beauty.”  My thoughts exactly.  Post-apocalyptic is quite apt for this.  There’s definitely a warrior element to this, which I love.  Powerful women totally pushes all my buttons.  And the tone for this is dead on.  I don’t know this model, but she displays a beguiling mix of vulnerability and strength in this series.
