Alana Zimmer by Benny Horne for Flair June 2010
I really wish that I could find larger images for this editorial (if anyone finds better scans of this send me the link please). Because it’s totally gorgeous. I love the high glamour and sense of theater about it. Alana looks stunning in the high concept haute couture pieces. It’s hard to not to let the outfit wear you with pieces like that but she pulls them off spectacularly. Also, corsets anyone? I’m a total sucker for corsets. They’re so sensual and womanly to me although they essentially represented society’s oppression of women during the Victorian era. In the shot above, Alana looks elegant and in control. And those cheekbones. Stunning. That seems to capture my sentiments about this quite nicely: stunning.
