It’s My Party

Rianne ten Haken, Natasa Vojnovic and Mirte Maas by Daniel Jackson for Acne Paper Sweden Issue #10

Hauntingly beautiful.  What I love the most about this is that all the flaws make is extraordinary and stunning.  One can’t help but have a visceral response to this, whether that is hate or love.  It’s artful and moreover, real.  Seeing the powder leave specks on the dresses and the wrinkles of skin that it settles into is powerful.  Nothing’s cleaned up about it; this is coloring outside the lines at its best.   There is beauty in the ugly.  And Acne Paper Sweden is excellent for being unafraid to push the boundaries.
