Eniko Mihalik by Greg Kadel for Vogue Italia May 2011
Yay for fashionable face paint (or war paint rather). Eniko looks fucking fabulous. She comes across as a rather fey punk. I love how she can be both ethereal and edgy in this. Kadel paints her as otherworldly and vibrant with his blurry watercolor edging to the shots. And the perspective is intriguing in general; the angles of her face and body add a lot of depth to this editorial. Moreover, I love when editorials do some wacky artistic brights for beauty. It’s a perfect excuse to color outside the lines.
